How to Waste a Sunday Morning
So, this morning, I was planning to head off and go see the latest “Harry Potter”. That’s not the waste. Rather, when I got in the car, instead of hearing the vrooom of the engine starting, I heard *crank crank crank crank*.
Ugh. “Dead battery,” I think. Or soon to be. So, first, I look around. I didn’t leave the dome light on, I didn’t leave the headlights on. Hmm. Give the key another turn *crank crank crank crank*
Damn… Okay. Relax. Let it sit a bit. Turn the key…*vrooom*. Phew.
So, I go off and get some breakfast, and then head off to Tysons Corner to see the film. But when I get there, I realize all I can think about is “Will my car start when I get out?” “Will my car start tomorrow when I need to go to work?” And I figure that’s no way to enjoy a movie.
Instead, I get back in and drive to my local Advance Auto Parts. Good guys, have helped me before, and I know they do free battery testing. They get the gizmo, hook it up, and the answer: GOOD BATTERY.
Son of a… Gaaah!
In fact, it was actually cranking a bit higher than spec!
Ah well. So I wasted a bit of my Sunday morning. And I’ll see HP next weekend. But at least now I can relax knowing my battery will start tomorrow morning.
Unless…
…what if the battery tester was broken…

lol! I doubt the battery tester was broken.
I’m sorry you didnt get to see the movie. I hope your car doesnt act up tomorrow. Maybe you should get a more thorough check of your car?
